Yes! Contact us at least 24 hours before pickup to modify or cancel. Free cancellations are available up to 48 hours before your rental starts. Changes to dates or vehicle type are easy — just email us at info@cheapcarhireadelaide.com.au or call 0422 344 674.

While we accept same-day bookings subject to availability, you can also make last-minute bookings by calling us directly on 0422 344 674 and we’ll do our best to get you on the road quickly. However, we recommend booking at least 24–48 hours in advance to guarantee your preferred vehicle. During peak periods (such as holidays and long weekends), it’s best to book even earlier to secure the best selection.

We accept card payment Visa and Mastercard. A credit card in the driver’s name is required for the security deposit (bond). Debit cards can be used for rental payments. We also offer PayID as a fast and convenient payment option for both rental payments and bond. The bond can be paid directly via PayID to our bank account, making the process quicker and easier, or you can also pay by card if preferred.

Absolutely! Just give us a call or send an email at least 24 hours before your original return date. Subject to vehicle availability, extensions are easy and hassle-free. We'll adjust your booking and send you an updated confirmation with the new rate.

You'll need to bring: (1) Valid driver's licence held for at least 12 months (Australian or international with English translation), (2) Credit card in the driver's name for the security deposit, or be able to pay through PayID and (3) Proof of identity (passport or driver's licence is sufficient). International visitors should bring both their licence and passport.

The minimum age is 21 years old, and you must have held your driver's licence for at least 12 months. Drivers under 25 may have a small additional daily fee for insurance purposes. All drivers must hold a valid Australian driver's licence or international licence with English translation.

Yes! International visitors are welcome. You'll need a valid international driver's licence in English (or with certified English translation), plus your passport. If your licence is not in English, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is required.

Yes! Additional drivers can be added for a small daily fee (typically $5-10/day). The additional driver must meet the same requirements: minimum 21 years old, valid licence held for 12 months, and present at pickup with their licence and ID. Partners and spouses often qualify for free additional driver status.

We guarantee a vehicle in your chosen category (economy, sedan, SUV, etc.), but we can't guarantee specific makes/models due to availability. If you have a preference, let us know when booking and we'll do our best to accommodate. All vehicles in each category are similar in size, features, and condition. The vast majority of our fleet is automatic transmission. Manual vehicles are available on request for certain vehicle categories. Please specify your preference when booking.

Yes! We offer delivery and collection service anywhere in metro Adelaide for a fee

While our main location is in Cavan, we offer airport delivery for a fee. 

Our Cavan location is open Monday-Friday 8am-6pm, Saturday 9am-4pm. After-hours pickups and returns can be arranged by appointment. We offer delivery service for added flexibility — your car can be delivered and collected at times that suit you. Contact us to arrange after-hours service.

Yes, please return with a full tank. We operate a full-to-full fuel policy — you pick up the car with a full tank and return it full. This is the fairest and most transparent approach. If you return it without refueling, we'll charge the cost of fuel plus a small refueling fee.

Most of our rentals include comprehensive insurance (excess fee applies) across South Australia. In the event of an accident, please contact us immediately so we can assist you and guide you through the next steps.

Our car rental service is strictly limited to Adelaide and South Australia only. Interstate travel is not permitted under any circumstances. All vehicles must remain within South Australia for the duration of the rental.
